Brewed in collaboration with Mainspring Conservation Trust, this rye saison is light golden in color with a spicy sweet malt body offset by the bone-dry mouthfeel. We used North Carolina-grown rye and barley malted by Riverbend Malt House in Asheville as well as a rye-wheat hybrid grain called triticale malted by Epiphany Craft Malt in Durham.

This beer’s namesake, the Needmore Tract, is one of Mainspring’s signature projects and encompasses over 5000 acres of unparalleled beauty and biodiversity. Lazy Hiker Brewing will donate 5% of the sales proceeds of Needmore Ale to Mainspring Conservation Trust to support Mainspring’s ongoing conservation work in our region.
